Fanchon Frohlich and Kate Dadiani

Trace of the Unconsciousness to the Conscious through the outer world- landscapes. From the first person singular to the third person.

Fanchon Frohlich started “Collective Phenomena”, an international group or painters working two and three on the same surface accompanied by live or recorded music. (When it is live, the London musician, Lawrence Ball, follows and directs our movement in Paris, Liverpool, the Hague and London so far).

One painter silently makes a gesture and next has some resonance with that until it becomes too complex when differing contradictory possibilities cause us to talk, to discuss which of the possibilities to develop until it becomes one organic whole.

We in “Collective Phenomena” chose our abstractly according to spiritual force or mood. ( See Kandinsky “Regarding the Spiritual in Art)

Upon encountering Kate Dadiani landscape painting- the landscape in the process of being destroyed through technology- green for the natural landscape, silver for the technology and black for destruction.

I thought about using these colours abstractly in “Collective Phenomena”-in this way combining the interplay of Conscious with the Unconscious- the first person narrative- with the interplay of Conscious with the Unconscious- the first person narrative- with the internal world which can be checked scientifically. Thus the gradual erosion of green no longer represents relaxation and quietness but also the green of nature: silver no longer represents only the future but technology: and black no longer represents only despair but also destruction.

In this way, the first narrative would combine with the third person object- the most introverted combining with the extrovert in a new synthesis.
